Royal Mail Retail Announces Significant Price Increases for July 2024

Royal Mail Retail has revealed upcoming price hikes for a majority of its mail products and formats, set to take effect on July 1, 2024. The increases will predominantly be in the double-digit percentage range, with 1st Class letter mail facing steeper rises compared to 2nd Class. Mailmark franking rates will also see similar substantial increases.

While these changes affect most mailing services, stamp prices will remain unchanged for the time being. However, Daniel Křetínský, the potential new owner of Royal Mail, has stated that he cannot make any promises regarding future stamp pricing. Křetínský, often referred to as the “Czech Sphinx,” emphasised the uncertainty in the market and the need to assess the situation carefully.

In addition to these changes, as we have previously advised, Royal Mail Wholesale Rates (DSA) will also see increases on the same date.

For businesses and regular users of Royal Mail’s services, this is a critical time to reassess mailing strategies. bakergoodchild is keen to support businesses by offering support and collaboration with clients to mitigate the impact of these price hikes. Our expertise in navigating such changes can be invaluable in maintaining cost efficiency and service reliability.
