- To recycle all overs from our customers mailing during the last week of each month, using a contractor with an EP (unless specifically requested not to).
- To minimise the environmental impact of our operations by reducing transport of mail and print wherever and whenever possible.
- To demonstrate our commitment to the prevention of pollution.
- To ensure that our operations comply with existing duties of care and environmental legislation and to check regularly for new laws.
- To comply with voluntary requirements which we subscribe to such as the DMA Code of Practice and MCA Code of Practice.
- To resolve environmental issues either at, or as close to, their source as is practically possible, i.e. office waste etc.
- To work only with and use products and packaging which are from sustainable sources:
Paper, Polywrap, Envelopes
- To recycle all print cartridges.
- To utilise cardboard bailers to reduce transport of waste cardboard and paper.
- To advise, assist and encourage all customers to use environmentally friendly and sustainable products and packaging.
- To use office consumables & cleaning products that have the minimum environmental impact during manufacture, use and subsequent disposal; reducing material usage and waste wherever possible and practical.
- To make the most efficient use of energy – reducing heat, lighting and electricity to lower emissions and costs.
- To systematically audit our activities and establish continual improvement and conservation programs.
- To train, develop and seek to involve our employees in the relevant aspects of environmental best practices.
- To communicate our environmental policy and practices to our employees, customers and those working on behalf of the organisation, and regularly provide information of the implications of changes.
- To review these objectives on a regular basis and at the end of each year.
To ensure that environmental care shall be considered in decisions at all levels in the organisation.
- Setting objectives and targets to reduce negative environmental impacts and to review on a regular basis.
