Christmas 2016 is nearly upon us with bonfire night and Halloween now just distant memories. As they do every year the Royal Mail have updated the mailing community on the last dates for UK mailing to ensure your mail arrives in time for Christmas.
As always, Royal Mail is heavily recommending that businesses mail Christmas time-sensitive mail as early as they possibly can. This helps to avoid disappointment and also aims to smooth peaks in demand in the period closest to Christmas, which is the busiest time of the year for mail volumes in the UK.
Business customer timescales for Christmas 2016
For convenience we have listed the mailing timescales in this section. The Royal Mail have announced the following dates which business account customers need to comply with in order for their mail to reach its destination in time for Christmas Day:
Always remember though it’s advisable to post earlier than the above dates as even your mail arrives on time it may be that the recipient has already left for their Christmas holidays! So posting early is always highly advisable.
Royal Mail quote
A Royal Mail Spokesperson commented:
“Our business mail services provide a vital link between businesses and their customers all year round and especially during the festive season. As always, we urge customers to talk to us about their expected volumes and to post early to avoid the last minute Christmas rush.”
