Christmas is always a busy time, but that doesn’t stop our team getting into the festive spirit! On the 12th December we will be one of the many businesses across the UK taking part in this year’s Christmas Jumper Day.
Yes our team will be donning their favourite Christmas jumpers (the wackier the better we say) in aim of raising money for Save the Children.
Fancy joining us? See below to find out how you can get involved too!
What is Christmas Jumper Day?
Christmas Jumper Day is a campaign run annually by the Save the Children charity.
All you have to do is wear your Christmas jumper to work on the 12th December and donate £2.00 to Save the Children. And what’s even better is this year the government has vouched to double the money raised, by matching every pound donated!
The Christmas charity day is now in its third year and thanks to businesses, schools and other organisations across the UK, the charity has raised more than £1.6 million to date.
All of the money raised goes towards saving children all over the world. Did you know that a donation of just £2.00 can pay for antibiotics which could save the lives of thee babies with infections?
That’s just one person’s donation, so think how many children a whole business could potentially save with their Christmas Jumper Day donations!
Here at Baker Goodchild we are on a mission to raise a lot of money for Save the Children this year, so instead of just donating £2.00 to wear our Christmas jumpers to work, we’ve decided to take things a step further.
We’re asking all of our customers and friends on Twitter to tweet a picture of their Christmas jumpers to us (@bakergoodchild) using the following Tweet:
@bakergoodchild: Getting into the Christmas spirit with #ChristmasJumperDay
Every time we receive a Christmas jumper tweet on the 12th December, we will donate £5 to Save the Children.
If you want to find out more about Christmas Jumper Day and how you can raise money in your workplace, visit the Save the Children website. There you will also be able to find out more about the charity’s work.
You can also donate online or by texting the word JUMPER to 70050 to donate £2 (plus your standard rate text message) to Save the Children.
We can’t wait to see all of your Christmas jumpers!
