To ensure that Environmental Care shall be considered in decisions at all levels in the organisation.
- To recycle all overs from our customers mailing during the last week of each month using a contractor with an environmental policy (unless specifically requested not to). Supplier to provide quarterly certificate.
- To minimise the environmental impact of our operations by reducing transport of mail and print wherever and whenever possible.
- To ensure that our operations comply with existing duties of care and environmental legislation and to check regularly for new laws.
- To resolve environmental issues either at, or as close to, their source as is practically possible i.e. office waste etc.
- To work only with and use products and packaging which are from sustainable sources:
- To recycle all print cartridges and donate the profit to Acorns Children's Hospice.
- To utilise Cardboard bailers to reduce transport of waste cardboard and paper.
- To advise, assist and encourage all customers to use environmentally friendly and sustainable products and packaging.
- To use office consumables & cleaning products that have the minimum environmental impact during manufacture, use and subsequent disposal; reducing material usage and waste wherever possible and practical.
- To make the most efficient use of energy - reducing the heat, lighting and electricity to lower emissions and costs.
- To systematically audit our activities and establish improvement and conservation programs. This will exist as a meeting of the Green Team and the Environmental Champion to audit each significant aspect and check reductions.
- To train, develop and seek to involve our employees in the relevant aspects of environmental best practices.
- To communicate our environmental policy and practices to our employees and customers and regularly provide information of the implications of changes.
- To review these objectives on a regular basis and the end of each year.
